What I’m Listening To on 1/14/2019: “My Best Was Never Good Enough” Bruce Springsteen.

Springsteen goes Folk, but like…1940’s Folk in the mold of Woodie Guthrie.  In fact, this is from “The Ghost of Tom Joad” Album who’s title track was based on a song by Guthrie, which was based on the famous depression era novel “The Grapes of Wrath”.  It’s a pretty slow but slightly catchy tune from a highly underrated Springsteen album.
